  72. This version fixes the install bug of 1.43.
  73.  
  74. Zippidy Do Da requires Windows 3.1.  If it is installed on a Windows 3.0
  75. system, it will not run.  On versions of Windows prior to 3.11 it also
  76. requires SHARE.EXE to be loaded BEFORE starting Windows. Note, if you
  77. are running Windows 3.11, Windows for Workgroups, or Windows 95 you do
  78. not need to load SHARE.EXE.

  80. NOTE: UNLESS YOU ARE RUNNING ONE OF THE OPERATING SYSTEMS LISTED ABOVE
  81. YOU MUST LOAD SHARE.EXE BEFORE RUNNING WINDOWS.

  83. Zippidy Do Da is a utility program that allows you to look up cities by
  84. zip code, area code, state, or city name.  We feel we have included much
  85. useful information in this release.  However, as we continue to upgrade
  86. the program, we would be glad to hear suggestions from you about new
  87. features you would like to see included in a future release. Thank you

  90. The first time you run Zippidy Do Da, it will need to build its indexes.
  91. On an 80486 33MHz PC it will take less than 5 minutes.  You will need at
  92. least 4.5Mb available to build the indexes. If for some reason (power
  93. failure, etc.) the index build fails before it is completed you can try
  94. it again after you close other applications that may be running or free
  95. up some disk space.

  143. If you received Zippidy Do Da as a ZIP file, you should find a .ZIP file
  144. called ZD143.ZIP (or ZIPDD.ZIP if you obtained the program from
  145. CompuServe).  It will contain the files listed in the Packing List
  146. section.

  148. You should unzip the file to a directory of your hard disk and then run
  149. the install program.  For example, if you unzip to a directory called
  150. C:\INST then you would execute SETUP.EXE from the C:\INST directory.
  151. If you use File Manager then double click the file SETUP.EXE in the
  152. C:\INST directory. If you use Program Manager then select FILE/RUN...
  153. and enter C:\INST\SETUP.EXE and click OK. Then just follow the screen
  154. prompts.
